PERFECT CUTICLE LINE TRANSITIONS WITH ACRYLIC

There is a little trick to applying acrylic product to the cuticle areas to receive a smooth transition between the cuticle to the acrylic product. Hardly any filing is required if the procedure is carried out as directed. Once learned, you BARELY have to file there at all.... usually a white buffer block is all that is needed in this area! I'll try explain the procedure as best I can without the aid of visuals, so here goes:

When using acrylic, after the free edge and body zones have been placed, then place and PRESS a small bead of product near the cuticle (about 1/8 of an inch away from it), then let the acrylic set and flow for about 3 to 4 seconds but NO MORE than that. Stroking it any sooner will only move it around too quickly; any longer and you can't move the product around as easily. After this, you'll have to work quickly and precisely in order for the thin acrylic to set up where you want it to.

Beautiful nails with perfect cuticle transitions.

1) Place a tiny ball of acrylic in the cuticle area, about 1/8 of an inch from the cuticle.

2) QUICKLY WIPE your brush on a towel to remove excess liquid.

3) Then GENTLY move the acrylic into place by PATTING slightly UPWARDS (not pulling it downwards) with SOFT strokes of the tip of your brush while holding the brush at an angle that is almost flat to the nail. The trick to blending the cuticle area is to insert the bristles of the TIP of the brush IN BETWEEN the cuticle and the ridge of the product and gently pressing DOWN. Do NOT "pull" the acrylic away from here now since you placed it right where you wanted it in the first place, just lessen the thickness of the ridge by GENTLY pressing it flat.

4) Then GENTLY stroke the entire area of the nail (while the product is still wet) to blend it all together. This trick IS easy once you learn it, but does require some practice. If you do it correctly, all you need do is use a WHITE BUFFER BLOCK to smooth the acrylic into the cuticle area...this is incentive to learn it if nothing else is! (I told ya there wasn't much filing if ya do it right!)

Best of luck.....
