I am a fully licensed nail technician
and world-wide educator. Although I once traveled all
over the world educating nail techs on tricks of the
trade and my special "secrets", I now am able to do
this via six Home
Learn Nails/Airbrushing course/kits. (Available
HERE from our affiliate's web site.)
MY HISTORY IN THE NAIL INDUSTRY:
In 1991, I gave up a very successful 16 year banking
career to pursue my desire to "create something from
nothing". My artistic talents now extend beyond creating
nail enhancements into the world of nail art and competition
quality nails.
I placed first in my very first nail art competition
at the Professional Beauty 1996 Show at Olympia in London
with my own design of an airbrushed background with
hand painted African jungle animals. I hand painted
a cheetah, giraffe and zebra in a mural fashion across
all 10 nails.
At the Professional Beauty 1997 Show in London, I made
an environmental statement with my first place winning
nail art. I airbrushed my model's costume (a white bed
sheet) with hand-cut stencils of aquatic life, then
in minute detail, hand painted the same sea life onto
the model's nails. My presentation was having her model's
hands dangle in an aquarium, creating a magnified impression
of fish swimming. My ecological message was "Preserve
our sea life".
In 1998, I won my third, consecutive, National Competition
Level by doing a "Modeling Theme". The free edges of
the nails were cut into jig-saw puzzle pieces which
fit together from left hand to right hand. (Pictures
of all of these competition wins can be seen in the NAIL
PICTURES section.) This third, consecutive win
forced me to retire from competition...that's the rules.
From 1997-2000, as the Independent Consultant for Spangles
Gold, owned by United Beauty Products, Ltd. in Nottingham,
England, I taught Beginner Airbrushing and Freehand
Nail training seminars at selected venues throughout
Great Britain. In 1999, I began doing "Gina Wallace
Master Classes". After proving hugely successful...
 |
I wrote my first book in 1998, "Creating
a Nail Art Masterpiece with Spangles Gold". I
outlined my trade secrets and illustrated many
step-by-step creations. (Sorry, this book
is no longer in print.) |

Back in November, 1998, I became
the Principal Educator for Essential Nail Products
whose primary product was The Nail Trainer
practice hand "kit". There have been
MANY changes, modifications, and improvements
to it since that time to make it a nail student's "best
friend". Today, it has become
a necessary training tool in many nail training
academies throughout the world. Click HERE for more details and to watch an online DEMO movie.. |

From 2003 to 2004, I hosted SIX
nail extension and airbrush training videos for
Essential Nails. Organizing, scripting, filming
and editing jobs were massive projects but the
end results were well worth every minute it took
to produce them. With these training videos, nail
students and nail techs around the world are able
to learn how to create masterpiece nail extensions
faster and easier. Hundreds of purchasers have
reported results such as, "Your techniques
should be taught in every school! If they were,
schools would turn out better nail technicians." With
comments like this, Essential Nails and I are
very proud to have had the opportunity to contribute
to their success. The six
nail training course / kits are: Acrylic
Tip/Overlay Nails, Sculptured Acrylics, Airbrushed
Nails, Gels, Fiberglass, and Maintenance of all
3 Systems. ALL
training is completed on the amazing Nail Trainer
practice hand (above)
. This home (or salon) learned method of doing
nails in your own time and at your own pace is
so convenient. |
I have been featured in and have written articles
for numerous magazines in both the UK and America, including
a submission piece for Designer
Nail Products, Detroit, Michigan,
USA.
I also judge nails and nail art competitions throughout
the world and was a Guest Speaker and Master of Ceremonies
at the Professional Beauty Nail Competition Awards Ceremony
in London in September, 1998 and May, 1999.

with graphics and hundreds of pictures, this book
is worth every penny to any person who wishes
to jump into the nail tech arena and come out

May 2003 - I agreed
to write a monthly feature for a UK nails
magazine called, "Scratch", the
Forum for Nail Professionals. I titled the 2-page
spread Headliners and Legends. This monthly article
features in-depth interviews from the world's
top competition winners (both past and present)
and from other forerunners in the industry.
It spotlights winning nails and/or nail art,
their experiences, advice, and offers wonderful
information on how to achieve the same results.

GINA
WALLACE ENTERPRISES, INC.
Gina Wallace Enterprises, Inc. is
the exclusive North American
distributor for Essential Nail Products, Ltd. (also
known as Essential Nails), who is the creator and
manufacturer of the Home
Learn Nail and Airbrushing course/kits and the one-of-a-kind Nail
Trainer practice hand which is included in the Home
Learn Nail Extension course/kits.
When Gina Wallace moved back "home" to the United States
in early 2000, she continued to serve as Essential Nail's
Principal International Educator, but was so proud of
the popularity of these Home Learn nail training course/kits
that she wanted to PERSONALLY bring them to the USA
and Canada rather than having a "unknown" distributor(s)
sell them. Controlling the quality and production
of them were paramount in her mind....and the only way
to ensure this was to establish Gina Wallace Enterprises,
Inc. (GWEI).
Gina
Wallace and her staff of industry knowledgeable
employees aim to give you the best training
and customer service you will find anywhere! In
addition, 24/7 online support is just a click
away at www.ginawallace.com or www.nailtrainerhand.com. |
HISTORY
OF ESSENTIAL NAILS, UK:
With the invention and perfection
of the Nail Trainer practice hand, Essential Nail
Products, Ltd., was born. Today, the company
is still directed by John Grace and Dave Simmons and
is headquartered in Suffolk, England, but the company
now employs a large staff of full-time team
members who distribute their products world wide.
HISTORY
OF THE NAIL TRAINER PRACTICE HAND:
In 1994, UK inventors John Grace
and Dave Simmons began developing a method by which
nail students could practice the skills and techniques
they needed to become more proficient....thus enabling
them to offer their services to the general public
quicker, safer and to a high standard. Inventing
the Nail Trainer practice hand was a 2 year effort,
requiring many modifications along the way. What
you receive today is the result of many veterans in
the nail industry (including Gina Wallace) who have
put forth their recommendations and suggestions for
improvement. The
Nail Trainer practice hand is now the leading
product recognized throughout the UK and EUROPE for
classroom based training and is making a HUGELY positive impact
in training centers in the USA and Canada. Designer
Nails (distributors for Creative Nail Design
Products) insist on utilizing the Nail Trainer in
all their classrooms, along with many other colleges
and training institutes! Why? Because this unique
tool enables students to learn their new skills
at a much faster rate because it prevents them
from searching for "live models" to practice on. In
addition, it allows the students to focus on their
tasks "at hand" instead of being distracted by live
models. And they can take their Nail Trainer
home after class to practice any time they wish, morning--noon--or
night, at their own pace and in their own time. Thousands
of students who have used this remarkable invention
have discovered that without it, they would have not
been able to achieve their high standards. Yes, Gina
Wallace Enterprises, Inc. and Essential Nails strive
to bring "the future of nail training" into present
day...just for you!
HISTORY
OF HOME LEARN NAIL AND AIRBRUSHING COURSE/KITS:
In 1997, John Grace approached
American, Gina Wallace (a 3-time
national competition winner) at a Nail Industry Exhibition
while she was performing live demonstrations for attendees. After
the exhibition, John visited Gina to discuss
development of distance training nail courses for
students. Gina was very impressed with the professional
image of the company but much more impressed with
the outstanding possibilities of a training course
that could be accomplished at home or in a salon utilizing
the benefits of a Nail Trainer practice hand. So
the wheels were set in motion. The first to
be completed was the Acrylic Tip/Overlay nail
extension course/kit which took over a week just to
shoot 18 hours of video footage which was ultimatealy
edited down to the 2 hour training DVD that
you see in the course today. Every
consideration was given to achieving a professional
training video with easy-to-understand, step-by-step
information. All
related products contained in the course were quality
tested and approved for insertion. Over the
next year, four more nail courses were completed,
all with the same high standards set forth by Essential
Nails and Gina Wallace.
The airbrushing
course/kit was the
last to be developed and completed, yet airbrushing
is now the most "in demand" course/kit of all that are
on offer! Technicians have found that adding
airbrushing to their list of services DOES prove worthwhile
because it increases their monthly income dramatically!
In 1999, Gina Wallace launched
the www.ginawallace.com web site. By 2005, it had expanded to an
over 300 page web site! In June, 2005, it was revised
to the site you now enjoy. This online information
center is dedicated to assisting Home Learn students
all over the world. Its pages contain an invaluable
source of nail related information.
We
provide nail training products that have been PROVEN
to enable techs to create quality nails.
Serving
USA, Canada, and all corners of the globe.
